Our Capabilities

We build systems that scale.

Mobile app development is the design and engineering of applications that run on iOS and Android phones and tablets, built either as fully native apps or with cross-platform frameworks that share a single codebase. XOVO works across nine frameworks and platform tools for this, from React Native and Flutter 3 for shared codebases to SwiftUI and Kotlin Jetpack Compose when an app leans on platform-specific hardware or deep OS integration. It covers the on-device UI, local data storage, offline behavior, and the integrations and store submissions needed to ship to the App Store and Google Play. Every app is engineered offline-first, with state and queued mutations cached locally so it stays usable on poor connections and reconciles cleanly once the device reconnects. In-app purchases are wired through RevenueCat, which handles receipt validation and entitlement state across both platforms, and a Fastlane-driven pipeline automates builds, signing, and store uploads. Over-the-air updates let many JavaScript fixes reach installed apps directly, without waiting on a full store resubmission.

What's Included

Everything in one place

  • Production iOS and Android builds (native via SwiftUI/Kotlin Jetpack Compose, or cross-platform via React Native or Flutter 3) with the full source repository and signing assets handed over to you
  • Configured App Store Connect and Google Play Console listings, including provisioning profiles, signing keys, store metadata, screenshots, and a submitted build that has passed review
  • A Fastlane-driven CI/CD pipeline that automates builds, code signing, screenshot generation, and store uploads to TestFlight and Play internal testing tracks
  • Backend and data layer wiring to Firebase or Supabase (auth, realtime database/Postgres, storage, push tokens) plus RevenueCat for in-app purchases and subscriptions, where applicable
  • Offline-first sync logic and secure on-device storage using the iOS Keychain and Android Keystore for tokens and sensitive data
  • Crash reporting, analytics, and over-the-air update configuration (Expo Updates or CodePush-style flow) so you can ship JS-layer fixes without a full store resubmission

Our Process

A clear process. Predictable results.

01

Platform & architecture decision

We choose the build path with you: native SwiftUI/Kotlin Jetpack Compose versus cross-platform React Native or Flutter 3, based on hardware needs, animation demands, team handover plans, and budget. We define target OS versions, device matrix, the offline data model, and which backend (Firebase or Supabase) fits.

02

Navigation & UI prototyping

We build the navigation graph and key screens as an interactive prototype on real devices, validating gestures, transitions, and tab/stack flows early. Animation-heavy interactions are tuned against a frame budget so they stay smooth on mid-range and older hardware, not just flagship phones.

03

Feature build & integration

Development runs in sprints wiring up the data layer, auth, push notifications, secure Keychain/Keystore storage, and any in-app purchases through RevenueCat. Each sprint produces an installable build distributed via TestFlight and Play internal testing so you can use the app on your own device throughout.

04

Device testing & store prep

We test across a range of screen sizes, OS versions, and conditions including offline, low memory, and interrupted purchases. We assemble store assets, privacy nutrition labels and Play Data safety entries, permission strings, and signing configuration so the submission clears review without back-and-forth.

05

Submission, release & OTA support

We submit to the App Store and Google Play, manage phased rollout, and wire up crash reporting and analytics. Post-launch we maintain the Fastlane release pipeline and use over-the-air updates to push eligible fixes quickly while scheduling native updates around store review windows.

Business Outcomes

Outcomes you can count on.

Concrete gains Mobile App Development delivers for your operations, measured in hours saved, errors removed, and cost avoided, not vague promises. Each outcome below maps to a specific capability you can trace end-to-end, so the impact is visible from day one.

One codebase, two stores, native feel

With React Native or Flutter 3 we ship to iOS and Android from a shared codebase while keeping platform-correct navigation, gestures, and 60fps animations, so you avoid funding and maintaining two separate native teams unless a feature genuinely requires it.

Works on bad networks and offline

Apps are built offline-first: data is cached locally, writes are queued, and changes reconcile through Firebase or Supabase when connectivity returns, so commuters, field workers, and users on weak signal still get a working app instead of a spinner.

Monetization wired in correctly

We integrate in-app purchases and subscriptions through RevenueCat, which handles Apple and Google receipt validation, renewals, trials, and entitlement state across platforms, removing the most common source of rejected builds and revenue leakage.

Faster fixes after launch

Over-the-air updates (via Expo Updates for the JS layer) let us push many bug fixes and copy changes directly to installed apps within store policy limits, so urgent corrections do not wait days for a fresh App Store or Play review cycle.

FAQs

Mobile App Development, Answered

If the app is mostly UI- and content-driven and you'd rather run one team against one codebase for both platforms, React Native or Flutter 3 usually wins on speed and cost, and the performance difference is rarely noticeable to users. We recommend going fully native with SwiftUI or Kotlin Jetpack Compose instead when the app leans hard on platform-specific hardware, complex custom animations, or tight OS integration - advanced widgets, CarPlay or Android Auto, background processing that needs to survive OS restrictions. Neither path is automatically right, so XOVO Technologies makes this call with you during the platform-and-architecture phase at the start of the project, based on what the app actually needs to do, not on which framework is trendier.
