Email marketing automation is the practice of triggering personalized emails from user behavior and lifecycle events instead of manual sends, so onboarding, drip, and win-back messages fire automatically based on what each subscriber actually does. XOVO builds these flows across nine sending and deliverability platforms, from Klaviyo and Customer.io for the flows themselves to Resend and Postmark for transactional mail kept off the marketing domain. It combines a sending platform, event data, segmentation logic, and authenticated sending infrastructure to deliver the right message at the right moment, mapped from events your product or store already emits, like signup, trial start, cart add, or inactivity. Transactional and promotional sending run on separated, warmed domains with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC alignment validated before real volume goes out, since that split keeps a bad marketing campaign from ever touching a password-reset email's reputation. Every flow is built inside your own platform account, so you keep ownership once the engagement ends.
Everything in one place
- Configured automation flows in your ESP (Klaviyo, Customer.io, Brevo, ActiveCampaign, Loops, or similar) for onboarding, behavioral drip, and win-back, each built on event triggers with branching and exit conditions
- Authenticated sending setup: SPF, DKIM, and a DMARC policy with reporting, plus a separated transactional/promotional domain or subdomain strategy and a documented warm-up schedule
- An event and segmentation map documenting which product or store events feed each flow, the entry/suppression rules, and how identities are merged across sources
- Responsive, accessible email templates (MJML or the platform's native editor) with merge-tag personalization, dark-mode handling, and plain-text multipart versions
- Transactional email integration via Resend or Postmark for receipts, password resets, and confirmations, kept off the marketing IP/domain to protect deliverability
- A reporting view tracking deliverability and engagement (delivery, open with Apple MPP caveats noted, click, bounce, spam-complaint, and unsubscribe rates) plus a runbook for monitoring and ongoing flow edits

Lifecycle and event audit
We inventory the events your product, store, or CRM already emits and the gaps where new tracking is needed, then map your subscriber lifecycle stages and the existing list and consent state. This produces the trigger and segmentation plan that every flow is built against.
Sending infrastructure and authentication
We set up or correct SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records, separate transactional sending (Resend or Postmark) from promotional sending, choose a sending domain/subdomain strategy, and define a warm-up schedule. New domains and IPs are ramped gradually so reputation is built before volume.
Flow and template build
We build the automation flows in your ESP with their triggers, delays, branch conditions, and suppression rules, and produce responsive multipart templates with personalization merge tags. Each flow gets defined entry and exit criteria so contacts do not land in conflicting series.
Seed testing and staged launch
Before live volume we run seed-inbox tests across major providers, validate authentication alignment and rendering, check links and merge tags, and review spam-filter signals. Flows then go live in a controlled order, typically transactional and onboarding first, with sending volume increased as deliverability metrics hold.
Monitoring and iteration
We watch deliverability and engagement metrics, read DMARC and bounce reports, and run subject-line and content experiments on the flows that justify the volume for statistical signal. Underperforming branches are revised and the runbook is updated so your team can maintain the system.

Outcomes you can count on.
Concrete gains Email Marketing Automation delivers for your operations, measured in hours saved, errors removed, and cost avoided, not vague promises. Each outcome below maps to a specific capability you can trace end-to-end, so the impact is visible from day one.
Sends triggered by behavior, not the calendar
Flows fire from real events such as trial start, cart abandonment, or 60-day inactivity, so a subscriber gets the next message because of what they did rather than a fixed broadcast schedule. This keeps cadence relevant per person and reduces the fatigue that drives unsubscribes.
Deliverability protected at the infrastructure level
Separating transactional from promotional sending, enforcing SPF/DKIM/DMARC alignment, and warming domains gradually keeps mail landing in the inbox rather than spam or Promotions purgatory. We monitor bounce and complaint rates so a single bad segment does not damage your sending reputation.
One subscriber identity across your tools
We unify event data from your product, store, and CRM so a contact is not duplicated across sources and suppression rules actually hold. That means someone who just purchased stops getting the abandonment series, and consent and unsubscribe state stay consistent everywhere.
You own the account and the automations
Everything is built inside your own ESP account, so the flows, templates, segments, and lists remain yours. If you bring email in-house or switch platforms later, the logic is documented and exportable rather than locked behind an agency tool.
